Federal investments in student aid enable millions of Americans to attend college each year and are critical to the long-term future of the nation. With additional federal student aid, students will know they can pursue their higher education goals even in uncertain times.

Contact Congress NOW to Advocate for Increased Funding in Student Aid Programs

President Biden signed the fiscal year (FY) 2024 Further Consolidated Appropriations Act into law on March 23rd allowing us to shift our focus to the FY 2025 appropriations process. Student aid programs were funded at the same levels in FY 2024 as FY 2023, this is known as level funding or “flat funding.” When funding levels are not increased, access is limited for additional low- and middle-income students to benefit from these programs.

It is important that you urge Congress to increase funding for student aid programs to alleviate any additional burdens that could be placed on hardworking students who need federal assistance to pay for college.

Please contact your representative and senators today to advocate for increased funding in the student aid programs.
